8 Points and perspective
I got back from my annual hunting trip yesterday. On my way in I stopped at a white birch I often use to find my path and offered a prayer to Freya. I usually do so in my head but this time I whispered it aloud. The weather was beautiful and warm and the air fresh and calm. I easily found myself melding with the forests of my goddess, and she blessed me with a beautiful buck in the early afternoon. My first ever 8 pointer. It’s no surprise to me that I have hunted for almost 15 years and this was the first 8 pointer I shot. She blesses me with great bounty and somehow I still find time to complain and worry about money and other “civilized” problems. Forgive me, Freya… sometimes I fail to see the big picture.
